The Wooden Train Route & The Golden Valley

Travel from Palma to the Port of Sóller on an afternoon excursion that combines history, mountain scenery, and Mediterranean charm. Discover one of Mallorca’s most iconic routes aboard the Sóller Train and its century-old tram.

The experience begins with a ride on the historic wooden train, which has been in operation since 1912. During the trip, you’ll travel through the Serra de Tramuntana, passing through tunnels, over viaducts, and through mountains and valleys covered with olive and citrus trees, until you reach the town of Sóller.

Once there, you'll have time to explore Plaza de la Constitución, which is dominated by the Church of Sant Bartomeu and surrounded by Modernist-style buildings.

Next, you’ll board the Sóller Tram for a pleasant half-hour ride through orange groves, gardens, and traditional houses. The ride ends by the sea, in the natural bay of Puerto de Sóller, where you can enjoy the Mediterranean atmosphere and the views of the harbor.
